Chalet Cullen, - Mangawhai

The bedroom was nicely decorated and spotless, with a convenient kitchenette, friendly staff, and close proximity to the beach.

The hotel was a convenient base for enjoying a lovely area, near restaurants and the beach, Surf Beach and Mangawhai Heads and the ocean. Every member of staff was affable. The location was stunning and good - just walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go.

Everyone is helpful and amiable and host too.

The bedroom was exceptionally nice and tastefully decorated, and it was great to have amenities like a microwave, central heating, and an iron/ironing board during the stay.

The location of this place is stunning, nestled against the hills, and they offer a delicious breakfast with cereal and fresh fruit - everything was just right, and I would definitely return in the future.

Stayed at Chalet Cullen and had a delightful experience. the chalet had beautiful windows that offered stunning sea views, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. the bed was extremely comfortable with high-quality sheets, ensuring a restful sleep. the chalet was well-decorated and had all the necessary amenities for a short stay. Margaret, the host, was lovely and made us feel welcome. the electric frypan was a great addition since there was no hob, and we were even invited to use the barbecue. the location was convenient, close to Mangawhai town and heads, and the view of the estuary and sand dunes from the lounge was a joy to wake up to. a fantastic place to stay when exploring Waipu and Whangarei, with scenic coastal roads.

Convenient location with friendly staff. Being just a 10-minute walk away from St Paul's Church was a big plus 👌.

I really enjoyed my time here, it was hard to say goodbye. the room I had was big and really clean. Also, they provided electric blankets and super comfy down pillows. 😊
